Terms and Conditions

Information about our brokerage services, moving estimates, payments, communication preferences, and your move.

Bronze Star Moving and Storage Inc.
USDOT 3710555   |   MC 1302081

Important: We are a moving broker, not a motor carrier. Bronze Star Moving arranges interstate household goods transportation through FMCSA-authorized motor carriers. The assigned motor carrier performs the physical move.

1. Scope of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions describe the website and brokerage services of Bronze Star Moving and Storage Inc. (“Bronze Star Moving,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Your signed brokerage agreement and estimate identify the specific services, fees, inventory, and arrangements for your reservation. The motor carrier’s bill of lading, applicable estimate, and lawful tariff govern transportation services. All documents remain subject to applicable law.

This page does not retroactively amend a signed agreement, create a reservation, or replace required transaction-specific disclosures. Reviewing this page or submitting an inquiry does not by itself authorize text messages or automated calls.

2. Broker Role & Scope of Services

Bronze Star Moving does not transport household goods. We arrange and coordinate interstate household goods transportation through FMCSA-authorized motor carriers.

Our brokerage services include:

  • Arranging transportation with authorized motor carriers.
  • Preparing estimates based on the disclosed inventory, requested services, and applicable carrier arrangements.
  • Coordinating scheduling and dispatch communications.

We do not:

  • Physically pack, load, transport, store, or unload goods.
  • Control the carrier’s drivers, employees, or equipment.
  • Collect the carrier’s transportation charges.
  • Adjust, settle, or pay cargo claims on the carrier’s behalf.

The assigned motor carrier is responsible for the transportation services it performs. This distinction does not exclude any responsibility Bronze Star Moving has for its own brokerage services under applicable law.

3. Estimates & Changes to Your Move

Estimates depend on the inventory, services, access conditions, and other information disclosed for your move. Review your estimate carefully and report corrections before pickup.

A binding estimate applies to the goods and services identified in that estimate. Additional goods, requested services, or undisclosed access conditions may require a revised written estimate or other documentation permitted by applicable law.

  • Additional furniture, boxes, or other inventory.
  • Packing, crating, storage, or specialty handling.
  • Stairs, elevators, long carries, shuttle requirements, parking restrictions, or permits not previously disclosed.

When changes require a revised estimate before loading, review and agree to the written revision before the carrier loads your goods. Contact Bronze Star Moving at (855) 622-9005 if you need assistance understanding a proposed revision.

The carrier’s tariff is available for inspection upon reasonable request. Tariff provisions do not eliminate applicable binding estimate protections or federal limits on the charges that may be demanded at delivery.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To help us coordinate an accurate estimate and suitable carrier, please:

  • Provide a complete inventory and accurate contact information, addresses, requested dates, and service requirements.
  • Disclose stairs, elevators, parking restrictions, long carries, building rules, and certificate-of-insurance requirements.
  • Notify us promptly of changes to your inventory, locations, or requested services.
  • Confirm which packing, disassembly, reassembly, and appliance services are included in your written estimate.
  • Keep medications, essential documents, cash, jewelry, and other irreplaceable valuables with you.
  • Confirm the carrier’s prohibited-items rules before packing. Do not include hazardous materials or other prohibited goods.
  • Review the inventory and moving documents before signing, and keep copies for your records.

5. Payment Terms

Payments to Bronze Star Moving compensate us for brokerage services. Carrier transportation charges are paid separately and directly to the assigned motor carrier.

Review your signed estimate for the broker fee, carrier balance, and total estimated charges. The payment breakdown should clearly identify what is payable to each company.

Carrier payments generally include an amount at pickup and a remaining amount at delivery before unloading. The specific amounts, timing, and accepted payment methods must be disclosed in your moving documents.

Depending on the carrier’s disclosed requirements, acceptable payment methods may include cash, postal money order, or certified funds. Do not assume the carrier accepts personal checks or credit cards. Any applicable processing fees must be disclosed in advance and comply with applicable law.

Collection of charges, release of the shipment, and any storage arising from nonpayment remain subject to federal requirements, including applicable limits on payment demanded at delivery.

6. Broker Fees, Cancellation & Date Changes

The broker fee compensates Bronze Star Moving for scheduling, coordination, and dispatch services.

Send cancellation requests in writing to billing@bronzestarmoving.com . Include your name, job number, and scheduled pickup date.

Under our stated cancellation policy, broker fees are generally non-refundable after 72 hours from reservation unless management approves otherwise in writing. If the first scheduled pickup date is within 14 business days of broker-fee payment, the standard 72-hour cancellation window does not apply.

Your signed brokerage agreement contains the specific cancellation conditions applicable to your reservation, including any carrier-assignment condition, processing deduction, refund procedure, and refund timing. Cancellation within 72 hours does not automatically mean a full refund.

Requests to reschedule or place a move on hold must be made in writing. Applicable deadlines, fees, and credit terms are those disclosed in your signed agreement and any subsequent written approval.

These policies remain subject to applicable law and do not waive rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

7. Pickup, Delivery & Storage

Review your moving documents for the agreed pickup and delivery dates or service windows. A first available delivery date is the earliest date you can receive the shipment, not necessarily a guaranteed delivery appointment.

Any guaranteed or expedited service must be specifically confirmed in writing. Estimated timing may be affected by routing, weather, traffic, equipment issues, and other circumstances, subject to the carrier’s contractual and legal obligations.

Unless exclusive vehicle use is included in your written agreement, the carrier may consolidate shipments or use transfers and temporary storage as permitted by the transportation documents and applicable law.

Storage, redelivery, shuttle service, and other additional services are included only as stated in your written documents. Confirm any promotional storage allowance, expiration date, and subsequent charges before booking.

8. Valuation & Third-Party Insurance

The motor carrier is responsible for the applicable valuation protection for your household goods. Available options include Full Value Protection and, when properly selected in writing, Released Value Protection at $0.60 per pound per article.

Review the carrier’s valuation documents for coverage, deductibles, exclusions, and charges. Bronze Star Moving does not provide cargo insurance or carrier valuation coverage.

Separate third-party insurance is distinct from carrier valuation. If you purchase insurance, obtain the policy documentation and review the insurer’s coverage and claims procedures. Insurance disputes may be subject to state insurance regulation.

9. Cargo Claims & Service Concerns

Submit claims concerning goods lost or damaged while in the motor carrier’s custody directly to that carrier in writing. Keep your bill of lading, inventory, photographs, receipts, and other supporting records.

Inspect your shipment and note visible damage or missing items on the delivery inventory. Promptly report any additional damage discovered afterward. Delivery notations do not replace a formal written claim.

File claims promptly and within the applicable claim period, generally nine months for interstate household goods claims. For nondelivery or unusual circumstances, confirm the applicable deadline without delay.

Bronze Star Moving cannot decide or settle the carrier’s cargo claims. We may assist with identifying the carrier and routing your concern. Ask the carrier for its claims instructions and arbitration-program information.

For concerns about our brokerage services or billing, contact billing@bronzestarmoving.com . Nothing on this page limits lawful complaints, honest reviews, or nonwaivable consumer rights.

Optional and separate consent

Our inquiry form provides separate, optional, unchecked boxes for transactional texts, promotional texts, and automated or AI-assisted calls.

Checking one box does not authorize the other categories. Submitting your phone number, requesting an estimate, accepting these Terms and Conditions, or purchasing services does not by itself enroll you in these programs. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies based on your inquiry, reservation, interactions, and selected preferences. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile provider’s rates and terms apply.

Opting out of texts

Reply STOP to a message to opt out of SMS messages from that program. You may receive a final confirmation of your opt-out. You can also contact us to request removal or update your communication preferences.

An SMS opt-out does not cancel your moving reservation. To cancel a reservation, follow the cancellation instructions in your signed agreement.

12. Federal Consumer Resources

Review these FMCSA publications before your interstate move:

Any required acknowledgment of receipt or permitted waiver of a physical or virtual survey must be separately documented in accordance with applicable requirements. Visiting this page alone does not execute a survey waiver.

13. General Provisions

Bronze Star Moving arranges interstate household goods transportation. We do not arrange intrastate household goods moves unless separately authorized under applicable law.

Applicable federal law governs interstate transportation requirements. Any governing-law or dispute provisions in your signed brokerage agreement remain subject to applicable law and nonwaivable consumer protections.

Updates to this page apply prospectively and do not automatically change an existing signed reservation or expand previously granted communication consent.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
